LESTER RAY KING

IRWIN, Pa. -- Lester Ray King, 85, Irwin, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at West Penn Hospital, Forbes Campus.
Lester was born June 8, 1928, in Goldsboro, N.C., a son of the late Betty (Shelley) Dale and Gorman Exum King.
In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Barbara King; a brother, Exum Darrell King; a sister, Peggy Brooks; and a grandson, Simon.
He is survived by his children, Linda (Charles) Drasher, Frances (Donald) Amick, Deborah King, Rick (Betty Lou) King, Michael (Roberta) King, Teresa King (Brian Laird), Sarah (Don) Berger and David Nichols; grandchildren, Charles, Rebecca, Colleen, Melissa, Wayne, Matthew, Nicole, Gregg, Manuel, Danielle, Tiffany, Ricky Jr., Cory, Angel, Justin, Maura, Sydney, Kyle, Cody, Jojo, Aubrey, Maura, Dylan, Lorelei and Wyatt; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson, Logan; siblings, Donna Weclemeyer, Faye Wilcox, Simon "Bud" King, Laura Nelle Grimsley, Betty Francis, Arlene Male and Susan Littleton; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and friends, who became family, Chester, Arron, Jenny, Kara and Jocelyn.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
