LOUISE B. ROLLINS

Mrs. Louise Baker Rollins of Goldsboro died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center following a brief illness. She was born on Jan. 30, 1921, to the late Henry Kearney Baker Sr. and Minnie Gill Baker of Zebulon.

Mrs. Rollins graduated from Wakelon High School in Zebulon, Campbell College (now Campbell University) and Hardbarger's Business School in Raleigh.

She was a charter member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, where she served as financial secretary and was a member of the United Methodist Women, receiving a recognition pin in 1991, as well as the Wesley Fellowship Class and the Golden Heirs.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years James E. (Jimmy) Rollins; a sister, Dorothy B. Alford; and a brother, Henry Kearney Baker, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at St. Luke United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, with the Rev. Adam Seate and the Rev. Earl Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor.

Mrs. Rollins is survived by a daughter, Harriet R. Flowers and husband, Bill, of Fayetteville; a son, Thomas J. Rollins and wife, Ann, of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Creighton Flowers and wife, Daphne, Cameron Flowers, Charlotte Rollins, Michelle Rollins and Matthew Rollins, all of Raleigh; two great-grandchildren; and three nieces and a nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1608 E. Pine St., Goldsboro, NC 27530.
