Ernest Dean Jones, 59, Goldsboro, N.C., passed away at his residence.
He was the son of Hazel Hinson Jones and the late Arthur Ernest Jones. He was the husband of Sandra Sue Jones of Lafayette, Ind., where he resided for 25 years.
He was a member of the Teamsters and Laborers Unions of Indiana, and also was a member of Community Reformed Church.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Holly Megan Jones Hastings and husband, Laine, of Lafayette, Ind.; a son, Brock Daniel Jones of Lafayette, Ind.; three sisters, Doris Landholm and husband, Lee, of Montgomery, Ala., Joyce Knox and husband, Donald, of Goldsboro, N.C., and Sheila Davis and husband, Gerald, of Dudley, N.C.; two grandchildren, Collin and Calli Jones, of Lafayette, Ind.; eight niece; and nephews; and 17 great-nieces and nephews.
