DOROTHY LEE ROBERTS INGRAM
Aug. 4, 1920-Sept. 16, 2013
Dorothy Lee Roberts Ingram, 93, went to be with her Lord Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The life she lived, one of grace and Christian love, could not be diminished by the years of declining health she endured. Her sweet smile and gentle ways will be remembered by everyone who knew her.
Dorothy was born in Wayne County Aug. 4, 1920, to the late Virgil Lee Roberts and Addie Amelia Turnage Roberts. She was married to the late Elmer Lee Ingram.
Dorothy had attended the Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Her most significant role in life and what she did best was being a loving mother and best friend to her son, Lamont, who lived with her.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Dorothy is survived by two nieces, Julie Thompson and husband, Rick, of LaGrange and Brigette Allen of LaGrange, and a great-niece, Chastity Lynn Jameson and husband, Garrett.
The family would like to express its appreciation for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Dalton Dove and the ICU nursing staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital, as well as a special thanks to the staff at Willow Creek Nursing Home for the care it provided Dorothy during her declining health.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Elmer Lamont Ingram, and a sister, Anne Roberts Sutton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of one's choice.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
