PIKEVILLE -- Bradley Gerald Cannon, 62, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Gerald was born in Wayne County Feb. 18, 1951, to the late Bradley and Reba Yelverton Cannon.
He retired from the Parks and Recreation Department for the city of Goldsboro after 37 years of service.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 31, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. in Pikeville Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating.
At other times, the family will receive friends at his home.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Bonnie Thompson Cannon; daughters, Michelle Cannon Herring of Saulston and Stephanie Cannon of Pikeville; granddaughter, Tori Michelle Herring; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Cleve and Sharon Thompson of Fremont; aunt, Cramier Yelverton of Belfast; and a special friend, Ernie Head of Belfast.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
