SEVEN SPRINGS -- Bruce Bernell Mallam, 64, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
A service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Mallam was born in Washington, D.C., Aug. 31, 1948, to the late Arnold and Eleanor Allen Mallam.
He was retired from the United States Air Force, and worked with the Wayne County Sherriff's Office as a detention officer.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Price Mallam; two sons, Christopher Mallam and wife, Allena, of Goldsboro and Bruce Edward Mallam of Florida; a stepson, Earl B. Braddy and wife, LaShana, of Mount Olive; his half-brother, Clark Mallam of Virginia; three sisters, Melinda Hamilton of Maryland, Susan Beale of Virginia and Karen Mallam of North Carolina; three grandchildren, John, Brett and Shaun Mallam; two stepgrandchildren, Bailey Braddy and Raven Jenean Wikise; a special cat, Jesse Mallam; and his dog, Mallams Isabella Magnolia "Maggie."
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
