RONNIE DOUGLAS "DOC" HAYES

SWANSBORO -- Ronnie Douglas "Doc" Hayes, 68, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in New Bern.
Born and raised in Kinston, Doc was the son of Beulah Dale Hayes and Clyde Douglas Hayes.
He was a retired conductor with CSX Railroad, and enjoyed watching sports when he wasn't working.
Doc was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny "Pee Wee" Hayes.
A celebration of Doc's life will be held at a later date.

Doc is survived by Joan Stroud and her sons, John Jones and Stephen Whitley; daughters, Michelle H. Daw and husband, Paul, and Rhonda Herring.
He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Rexford Rose, Summer Rose, Zackary Daw, Niki Herring and Samantha Herring, and her children, Sage and Seth.
