Zylphia Mizelle Bondeson, 77, passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at her home.
Zylphia was born in Beaufort County Sept. 22, 1935, to the late Jesse E. and Della Cratt Mizelle.
She was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
Zylphia will be remembered for her work as a teacher and leader with Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Zylphia leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and support for the people she cared about. Her enthusiasm and charm will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 11, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, followed by service celebrating her life at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary, with the Rev. Dann Patrick and the Rev. Christian Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Raynold Carl Bondeson; daughters, Sharon McNeese and husband, Bryan, of Goldsboro and Rhonda Helms and husband, Ron, of Allen Park, Mich.; sister, Faye Corey of Washington; and six grandchildren, Lauren Helms, Kristen Landers and husband, Daniel, Jonathan McNeese and wife, Ashley, Brandon Helms, Rebecca McNeese and Braden Helms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rachel Harrison, Mildred Little and Isabelle Thompson, and her brothers, E.D. Mizelle, Jesse Mizelle and Ralph Mizelle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 1200 W. Grantham St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
