EARSEL "BUD" LYTTON

Earsel "Bud" Lytton, 74, peacefully met his Lord surrounded by his family Saturday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with pastor Sherman Guthrie officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of Carol Carter, 339 Gurley Lane in Seven Springs.
Bud was born in Lillybrook, W.Va., to the late Earsel Sr. and Ruby Lytton. He graduated from Stoco High School of Coal City, W.Va., on May 25, 1956. He began serving his country by enlisting in the Air Force on March 4, 1957, and retired from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base on Dec. 31, 1978.
Bud married Eunice Gurley on March 18, 1982, and together they made their home in Seven Springs. Bud brought two children to the marriage, a daughter, Rene Duncan of Charlotte, N.C.; and a son, Buddy Lytton and his fiancé, Sherry Fuller, of Huddleston, Va. Eunice also brought two children to the marriage, a son, Jimmy Holmes, Jr. and his wife, "Cookie"; and a daughter, Carol Carter and her husband, Johnny, all of Seven Springs.
Bud is survived by his wife, Eunice Lytton; son, Buddy Lytton; daughter, Rene Duncan; stepdaughter, Carol Carter; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Marshall and Gaye Lytton of Princewick, W.Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Ron Thompson of Romulus, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Lytton; sisters, Joy Hughes and Ernestine Bragg; and a stepson, Jimmy Holmes.
