RUTHERFORDTON -- George William Poteat Sr., 93, of Edwards Street, died Wednesday.
Visitation is today from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at McMahan's Funeral Home, followed by a brief service at 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. Dean Baughn, the Rev. Tim Marsh and Mike Lawing officiating. Burial will follow.
He is survived by his wife, Dot (Dorothy) Reece Poteat and four children.
Arrangements are being handled by McMahan's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Rutherfordton.
