DOROTHY "DOT" DAVIS TALTON

Dorothy "Dot" Davis Talton, 87, went to be with her Lord Monday afternoon, and was reunited with her husband, parents and family in heaven.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Carrie Cook Davis, and the wife of the late J. Willard Talton.
Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Susan Talton Sedlock and husband, Walt, of Greensburg, Pa.; a son, Jesse "Jay" Talton Jr. of Goldsboro; five grandchildren, Wally Sedlock, Debbie Pacelli, Wenona Talton, Joe Talton and Brandon Talton; three great-grandchildren, Maggie Sedlock, Harper Sedlock and Reagan Williams; and two sisters, Marjorie Worrell and Mary Johnson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Perkins and Helen Sauls.
The family would like to acknowledge the faithfulness and kindness shown to Dot by the people of First Baptist Church; she loved you all very much.
