JEAN GRAVER JOHNSON

Jean Graver Johnson, 79, passed away Saturday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Jean was born in Norwich, Norfolk, England, Sept. 20, 1933, to the late George and Bella Browne Graver.
She was a caring, loving parent and grandparent whose primary goal was the happiness and security of her family.
Jean also supported the American Red Cross as a volunteer for more than 40 years. She had donated more than 20 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross, and helped to save numerous lives.
In her spare time, she enjoyed getting out in her yard to work in her flower garden and watch the birds. Jean also enjoyed the many friends she had made while swimming at the Family Y.
The family will hold a private family service.
Jean is survived by her husband, William Walter Johnson; daughters, Jeannie Johnson Langnau and husband, William George, of Midlothian, Va., and Celia Pfautz and husband, Kevin, of Smithfield; son, Paul William Johnson of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren, Kelly Pfautz Rousseau and husband, Capt. John, Jessica Johnson and Christopher Johnson; great-grandchild, Lorelei Rousseau; and sisters, Sylvia Shaw and Margaret Smith of Norfolk, England.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 600 N. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
