John Stevens Avery Jr., 65, of Warsaw, died Friday at Durham Regional Hospital.
Services will be today at 7 p.m., at Community Funeral Home Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will follow the service.
Mr. Avery was born in Sampson County to the late John Stevens Avery and Rosine Bass Avery.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Avery, of the home; a daughter and three step-daughters.
