LAGRANGE -- Charles Edward Williams, 77, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Charles was born May 11, 1935, in Wayne County to the late Frank and Eloise Capps Williams. He worked many years with Piggly-Wiggly and later Food Lion, where he retired as the dairy/freezer manager. Charles served his country proudly in the United States Army and the N.C. National Guard.
Charles is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Pelt Williams; son, Ricky Williams; two grandchildren, Luke and Kelsy Williams; and two sisters, Virginia Brown and Alice Strickland. Charles was preceded in death by a son, Henry Williams; and a sister, Frances Goff.
