Phillip Wayne Pope, 60, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Wayne was born in Wayne County on July 22, 1952 to the late Owen and Burttie Potter Pope. He was employed with Dixie Lawn Service.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church with the Rev. Vann Spivey officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Alvera Benedict Pope; his daughter, Dana Cliston; his stepchildren, Dana, Diane, Marie and Michael; his grandchildren, Michael, Theresa, Brittany, Lauryn, Triston, Richie, Brandon and Kaytlen; and a great-grandson and little buddy, Kayden. He is also survived by seven brothers and sisters.
