MARY DELLA WORTHINGTON
STANTONSBURG -- Mary Della Grimes Worthington, 74, died Saturday.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Stantonsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church, 309 Moyton Ave., Stantonsburg, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Burial will be in Eureka Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, in 1977; a son, Steven Worthington; parents, J.W. "Bill" and Janie Overman Grimes; a brother, Carroll Grimes.
Surviving are daughters, Wanda Bonner (Jeff) of Dudley and Karen Sellers (Jack) of Goldsboro; son, Michael W. Worthington of Stantonsburg; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Collier (Emmette) of Newport News, Va.; brothers, Dee Grimes (Lou), Ralph Grimes (Christine) and Durwood Grimes, all of Stantonsburg, and Don Grimes (Noen) of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Stantonsburg P.H. Church, 867A, Hood Swamp Road, Goldsboro, N.C. 27834.
