MOUNT OLIVE -- Lorrie Fennell Holloman, 57, of 188 Brock/Whitman Lane, in the Brock's Chapel section, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 18, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was the daughter of the late Walter Bernice Fennell and Helen Anderson Fennell Hinson. Throughout her working career, she had been employed by Mount Olive Sportswear, Universal Furniture and Textilease.
Surviving are her husband, Milton R. "Blossom" Holloman of the home; her children and their mates, Cristy Holloman and Roy Cottle of Mount Olive, and Michael and Lois Holloman of Pikeville; four grandchildren, Alexis Sutton, Leanne Crosby, Ashley Underwood and Brooke Cottle; a great-granddaughter, Emma Crosby; a brother and sister-in-law, George "Doc" and Carol Fennell of Beulaville; three sisters, Ida Mitchell of Norfolk, Va., Joyce "Dink" Brock of Beulaville, and Martha Ann Fennell of Aiken, S.C.; her parents-in-law, Leonard and Minnie Holloman of Mount Olive; two brothers-in-law, Billy Holloman of Grantham, and Ricky Holloman of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Marty and Robin Smith and their sons, Kyle and Tyler, of Faison, who became very dear to her as, in recent years, she had been caring for the boys and also assisting in the family's gift shop.
Services to remember Mrs. Holloman will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by Anne Bartlett, and followed by visitation. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Milton Holloman Family Cemetery located near the residence.
