BETTY MARIAH GRADY BUTTS

Betty Grady Butts was born in September of 1922, and she passed in October of 2012 at the age of 90.
Her life was that of a farm wife and seamstress.
Betty wed Maurice Butts in 1937, and was married for 60 years.
She always lived in the Beautancus community, and she was a member of Bear Marsh Baptist Church for 50 years.
Her special interest was tending to her flowers.
She was the last remaining of her brothers and sisters.
Survivors are Tony C. Butts, son; Mitchell W. Butts, son; Anthony C. Butts, grandson; two great-grandchildren; caretakers and nephew, Raymond Hairr and Sheila Tew; Tom Johnson, brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Waiting for Mama are Maurice C. Butts, husband, 1997; Mamie Vernon Grady Johnson, mother, 1974; Jim Grady, father, 1931; Joe Johnson, step-father, 1973; Georgia Lee, sister; Patty Grady, sister; Ben Grady, brother; Ralph Grady, brother; and Ludy "Dude" Grady, brother.
Services will be at Bear Marsh Baptist Church Saturday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m., with burial at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
