ALVA S. FAULK JR.

Alva Smith Faulk Jr., 80, died early Saturday morning in the Waylin Life Care Center.
Born in Robeson County, he was the son of the late Alva S. and Emma Hall Faulk, and brother of the late James V. "Jimmy" Faulk and Betty Mac Faulk.
Alva was a veteran of the United States Army.
He attended Mars Hill College, and graduated from the School of Interior Design in New York.
He was formerly employed with Jones Brothers Furniture in Smithfield and Raleigh.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at Raleigh Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating.
He is survived by a niece, Suzanne Faulk of Mount Olive, and two nephews, Ven Faulk and Philip Faulk both of Dudley.
