MARY C. RODERIQUES

Mary C. Roderiques, 96, of Mount Olive passed away Saturday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Anselmo and Evanglina Fonseco Cabral and the wife of the late Manuel Roderiques. She was a retired seamstress for St. Luke's Hospital, and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Father Rev. Patrick Keane officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her granddaughter, Holly Sutton.
Mrs. Roderiques is survived by her daughter, Anne Paim of Dudley; a sister, Vangie Lemos of New Bedford, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Roderiques, and a daughter, Mary Souza.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Mount Olive Care and Rehab, Dr. Spencer and the staff of the seventh floor at Wayne Memorial Hospital for their special care for Ms. Mary. They would also like to thank Holly Sutton for her special care for her grandmother.
