HURDLE MILLS, S.C. -- Billy Ray Vaughan, 77, died June 1, 2012, at home after a brave battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, at Five Forks Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles Churchill. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
He was the only child of the late Raymond Vaughan and Lossie Shingleton Vaughan of Snow Hill. He was retired from E.I. Dupont with 40 years of service. He served in the Army and was a veteran. He was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Geneva Dunman Vaughan of the home; one son, Arthur Michael; one daughter, Tina Marie Rouse, wife of Herman Rouse, of Roxboro; and one granddaughter, Heather Marie. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He loved the Lord, family, friends and Church family.
