BRONX, N.Y. -- Goldsboro native William L. "Billy" Barr Jr., 62, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 24, 2012, at his home in Bronx, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at New Spirit Ministries Church in Goldsboro, with bishop Jesse Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Viewing will be held at 10 a.m. at the church one hour prior to the beginning of the service.
William leaves to cherish his memories his son, William L. Beckford and his wife, Randy Beckford, of Baltimore, Md.; William's mother, Katherine Beckford of Greenville, S.C.; his former wife and friend, Sharlene Moses; his sister, Linda Barr of Englewood, N.J.; and his brother, Kenneth Holt of Fayetteville.
