RUBY W. BRITT

Ruby Winders Britt, 81, of the Grantham Community, passed away Sunday morning at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City. Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Major Franklin Winders and Nettie Savannah Thompson Winders and wife of the late George E. Britt. She was a member of the Eureka Christian Church.
A service to celebrate the life of Ruby will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the graveside at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Frank Purvis officiating. Family members will greet friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Ruby is survived by her children, Phil Everette Britt and his wife, Barbara, Linda Kay Grady and husband, Harold of Fayetteville, Rhonda B. McCoy and husband, Timothy of Stella, Tina Blue Britt of Mt. Olive; her grandchildren, Michael Grady, Amy Gandy, Chad Britt, Heather Toler, Charli McMullen and Stephanie Jones; five great grandchildren; one brother and six sisters.
