RUTH SUTTON HAMILTON

DUDLEY -- Mother Ruth Sutton Hamilton, 73 Scott Drive, Dudley, passed Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A triumphant homegoing celebration will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at noon at St. Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. E.K. Sutton officiating. She will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park North.
She was born May 12, 1938, to the late Lela S. Wright and Wesley Kee, and was the stepdaughter of the late Robert Wright Jr.
She graduated from Dillard High School in the class 1957, and was employed by the state of North Carolina at Cherry Hospital retiring with 30 years of services.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Hamilton Sr.
She leaves precious memories with her children whom she loved and cherished, Tracie Hamilton-Alston and husband, Robert of Dudley, Richard E. Hamilton Jr. of Princeton, Rodney V. Hamilton of the home and Sonya Hayes and husband, Jeffery of New Bern; grandchildren, Richard (Raisha) Hamilton, Decarlus Hamilton and LaVonda Hamilton of Dudley, Courtney Alston of Goldsboro and Amanda Alston of Dudley; and a brother, Melvin R. Sutton of Goldsboro.
A viewing will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel, and the family will be present from 4 to 5 p.m.
A sympathetic and dignified service entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
