Jerome Freeman Sr., 56, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Willow Dale Cemetery.
He was born July 20, 1955, to the late William "Bud" Freeman and Ida Downing Freeman.
He is survived by a son and three stepchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends other times at the home of Betty Williams, 114 Melodie Lane in Goldsboro.
