WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Eddie Conley, 96, formerly of Sampson County, died Monday at Washington Hospital Center.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Union Grove Disciples of Christ Church of Christ in Clinton, with Dr. Timothy Peppers officiating. Burial will be in Maryland National Memorial Park in Laurel, Md.
He is survived by a daughter and two sons.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at Brock Memorial and Worley Funeral Home of Clinton.
