KINSTON -- Mary Anderson Gray, 81, died peacefully in her home Tuesday Dec. 6, 2011.
She was born Nov. 22, 1930, in Wayne County to the late Ed and Nellie Gray.
She was a wonderful and thoughtful wife, mother and friend, and will be dearly missed by many.
She was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gray is survived by her two sons, Eddie Gray and his wife, Kathy, of Kinston and Nick Gray of Charlotte; a daughter, Diane Gray of Melbourne, Fla.; granddaughter, Kimberly Gray; grandson, Brandon Cirilla of Jacksonville, who is proudly serving our country in the United States Marines; brother, Jimmy Lane ; sister, Betty Mae Bland; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Anderson; good friends, Peggy and Wally Liles; as well as many special family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Howard-Carter funeral Home at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Archie Ratliff and Jackie Ham officiating. Burial will take place at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.
Visitation will be held Thursday Dec. 8, 2011, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
Arrangements are by Howard Carter Funeral Home.
