Mr. Charles Andrew Fussell, 62, 516 Robert St., Goldsboro, departed his earthly life, peacefully Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
Charles was born in Dade County, Miami, Fla., July 10, 1949, to the late Lucille Carswell Fussell and Leroy Fussell.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N. William St., Goldsboro, with the Rev. Danny Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery North, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro.
A public viewing will be held Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at McIntyre Funeral Home and Florist, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, from 2 to 6 p.m.
Charles leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories his wife, Ira Henry Fussell, better known by his family and friends as "Winkie;" two sons, Keith Fussell and Akil Fussell; two daughters, Kammy Fussell and Qiyam Fussell Archibald; a stepdaughter, Condra Fleming; mother-in-law, Mildred Carlton; seven grandchildren; a sister, Gwendolyn Fussell-Burch; two nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Mrs. Ira "Winkie" Fussell, 516 Robert St., Goldsboro, where family and friends will assemble one hour prior to the funeral in preparation for the funeral procession.
