Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, Mr. Antonio Ricardo "Rico" Thomas, departed his earthly life at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.
A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at noon at The Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly, 211 W. Hooks River Road in Goldsboro. The Rev. Dr. Repsie Warren will do the eulogy. He will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham Road.
The public will pay its respects Friday, Dec. 9, from 2 to 7:30 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, with the family receiving friends there from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Jerri Reese Thomas; two sisters, Malika Darnett Thomas of Charlotte and Crystal Germain Thomas of Durham; his grandmother, Mary Rogers Reese; four aunts, Mary Thomas McEachern of Goldsboro, Deborah Patterson Reese and JoAnn Jackson Piper of Washington, D.C., and Kaaryn Rogers Taylor of Ga.; seven uncles, Al Reese, David Jackson of Washington, D.C., Norris Thomas, Clifton Carr of Norfolk, Va., David Rogers Jr. of Goldsboro, Christopher Rogers of Virginia and Johathan Rogers of Charlotte; and a host of other family and friends.
Services have been entrusted to Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
