Everette McGee Franks, 73, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at his home.
Everette was born in Wake County June 30, 1938, to the late Graham H. Franks and Allene Barbour Franks.
He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at First Free Will Baptist Church from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Frank Flowers and the Rev. Dale Sauls officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Everette is survived by his wife, Carol Moore Franks; his son, Joseph Strouse and wife, Sonya, of Pikeville; his daughters, Deborah Long and husband, Tim, of Emerald Isle, Melissa Sauls and husband, Dale, of Sanford and Patricia Allen and husband, Michael Kauff, of Pikeville; his grandchildren, Stephen Strouse, Austin Long, Zachary Long, Haley Allen, Katelyn Franks, Josiah Sauls and Abigail Sauls.
He is also survived by his brother, Donald Franks of Wilson, and his sister, Peggy Jackson of Goldsboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Franks, and his sister, Josephine Carroll.
