Floyd Hill, 84, lovingly known by his family and friends as "L.K.," of 1102 Maple Street, Goldsboro, departed his earthly life on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at Kitty Atkins Hospice Center.
"L.K." was born in Wayne County on Jan. 6, 1927 to the late Mary Woodard Hill and William Hill.
Floyd was educated in the public school system.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Goldsboro Chapel FWB Church, 1314 Ben Brewington Court, Goldsboro, N.C. with Pastor James E. Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, 632 US Hwy 117 North, Goldsboro, N.C.
A public viewing will be held Monday at Goldsboro Chapel FWB Church, 1314 Ben Brewington Court, Goldsboro, N.C. from 10 to 11 a.m.
Floyd leaves to mourn his memory his sons, Reginald Hill of Goldsboro, Ian Hill of Bronx, N.Y., Frey Hill of Jersey City, N.J., Guy Hill and wife, Angela, of Coats, N.C.; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mildred Hill, Eulah White, Bertha Foster and Annie Hill, all of Goldsboro; three special nieces, Judith Gallman, Doris Atkins and Sherry Franklin; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends at the residence of his sister, Annie Hill, 415 E. Spruce Street, Goldsboro, where they will also assemble Monday at 9 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
