Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Marie Baker of Washington, D.C., will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Meridian Hill Cathedral of Christ Baptist Church, 5354 Sheriff Road, Chapel Oaks, Md., 20743.
Born to the late Lolettie and Oberry Smith of Wayne County, N.C., she migrated to Washington, D.C., in the 1960s.
She is survived by three children, Lee A. Baker of Washington, D.C., Shirley Baker Allison of Atlanta, Ga., and Diane Cash (Anthony) of Lanham, Md., and a host of family and friends.
