BOYDTON, Va. -- Mr. Ernest Holt Weaver Jr., 69, Boydton, Va., died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, in Community Memorial Healthcenter.
He served eight years in the Air Force, and retired from the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Lloyd Weaver; his daughter, Jo Andrea W. Lawrence; his son, Ernest H. "Bevo" Weaver III and wife, Kerri Anne, both of Goldsboro, N.C.; stepsons, Charles J. Preddy of Creedmoor, N.C., and Robert G. "Robbie" Preddy and wife, Jeri, of Raleigh, N.C.; his sister, Donna W. Robertson of Kinston, N.C.; his brother, John F. Weaver of Louisburg, N.C.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and an aunt, Becky W. Johnson of Raleigh, N.C.
He was predeceased by his father, Ernest H. "Bevo" Weaver Sr.; his mother, Frances Griffin Weaver Foster; and his stepfather, Wade H. Foster.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church in Palmer Springs with American Legion military honors.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory.
