DIANE M. ROACH

TOPEKA, Kan. -- Diane M. Roach, 63, passed away on June 22, 2011.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
She was born April 20, 1948, the daughter of James Howard and Cecile Rita Gamache Hendricks. Diane was a 1966 graduate of Hayden High School and attended Washburn University after graduation. She later married Richard D. Hoover in Topeka. The couple moved to Goldsboro and helped start United Reality and the Gallery of Homes Real Estate Offices. He preceded her in death in 1977. Diane was an intelligent, quick-witted, loving person who enjoyed helping others. She was a devout Catholic, who was very passionate about her faith. Diane very much enjoyed the beach, loved having fun, and spending time with friends and family. She especially loved her granddaughter, Madeline.
Survivors include significant other, Jim Maag; children, Shelly Hoover-Plonk (Warren) and Christopher Shawn Hoover; sisters, Bunny Bolton (Sam), Shirley Smith (Robin), and Mary Jane Pore (Dave); and eight nieces and nephews.
