VIRGINIA W. LOFTIN FLEMING

DUDLEY -- Virginia W. Loftin Fleming, 90, formerly of Grifton, N.C., died Monday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Craven County, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis and Stella Roach Witherington, and the wife of her late husbands, Edward Lee Loftin and Edward "Doc" Fleming.
She had been a resident for the last year at Countyside Assisted Living in Pikeville, N.C.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Kinston, N.C.
The family will receive friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
Virginia is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward Jan Loftin and wife, Gail, of Lucama, N.C., and Rick Loftin of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Portia Loftin Heath and husband, Bill, of Dudley, N.C., and Peggy Loftin Lane and husband, Dave, of Dudley, N.C.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
