URA TAFT "BUDDY" HOWARD JR.

Ura Taft "Buddy" Howard Jr., 70, passed away Saturday at Dunn Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Don Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.
A native of Pinetops, he was the son of the late Ura T. Howard Sr. and Eva McDonald. Mr. Howard was a retired electrician and had worked with Stackhouse Inc. He was also a member of the National Guard.
Mr. Howard is survived by his children, Cynthia Denise "Neicie" Monk and husband, John, of Newton Grove, Ura T. "Boots" Howard III and wife, Joyce, of Mount Olive, James Randolph "Randy" Howard of Wilson, Jeffrey Allen "Pee-Wee" Howard and wife, Lisa, of Goldsboro, Jewell Faye "Sally" Capps and husband, John, of Goldsboro. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Roger Grant of Snow Hill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife and mother of his children, LaRose Hare Baker, and his sister Jewell Howard Grant.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home from 7 until 9 p.m., and at other times at the home of his daughter Jewell, 1555 Stoney Creek Church Road, Goldsboro.
Flowers are welcome though memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Blvd. Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
