PRINCETON -- Alton Floyd Best, 83, Progressive Church Road, Princeton, died Monday morning at SECU Hospice Center.
He was born Jan. 10, 1928, and was the son of the late John Walter and Victorie Tillmen Best. He was the widower of Ethel Pearce Best.
Mr. Best was also preceded in death by a brother, John Marion Best, and three sisters, Mable Smith, Emma Langston and Kinzie Barttlet.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Dwayne Batten officiating. The committal service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton.
