JACKSONVILLE -- Durwood Barnes Neal, 80, died Friday at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 23, at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Marion and Laura B. Neal and was preceded in death by a son, Michael Kerry Neal.
Durwood is survived by his wife, Betty Tyner Neal; a son- and daughter-in-law, Durwood Keith and Katrina Neal of Wachapreague, Va., a daughter- and son-in-law, Angela N. and John Stroud III of Jacksonville and two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Weaver of Holly Ridge, and Doris N. Parks of Goldsboro; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
