HILDA STEWART WOODARD

PRINCETON -- Hilda Stewart Woodard, 79, 6670 U.S. 70 east, Princeton, died Tuesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 12, 1931, in Johnston County, and was the daughter of the late Charlie Casper and Lida Mae Benson Stewart.
Mrs. Woodard was voted the most studious and most dependable of her graduating Princeton High School class of 1950. She attended Praise Sanctuary of Princeton.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Jimmy Lambert officiating. The committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Stephen Woodard; son, Kenney Stephen Woodard of Goldsboro; daughter, Beverly Anderson and husband, Larry, of Princeton; sisters, Mildred Braswell of Princeton and Kaye Sutton of Princeton; and granddaughter, Amanda Martin.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. Friday, April 15, and immediately following the funeral service at Casey Funeral Home.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Praise Sanctuary of Princeton.
