JAMES LEE "JIMMY" MILLER
MOUNT OLIVE -- James Lee "Jimmy" Miller, 66 of 1999 Tram Road died Sunday at Duplin General Hospital.
Born in Duplin County, he is the son of the late Jimmie and Arminda Lesesne Miller.
"Bubba" as he was affectionately called by family and friends attended N.C. A&T and N.C. State University. His love for electronics afforded him the opportunity to work at several companies including Mt. Olive Pickle, Lundy's and others. He also loved farming and could often be seen on his tractor or sharing vegetables with family and friends.
A life celebration service for Jimmy will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from Big Zion AME Zion Church with Rev. Larry E. Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Wallace Miller of the home; four daughters, Laura (Stevie) Dunk of Centennial, Colo., Robin Lewis of Temple Hills, Md., Sheron (Robert) Careathers of Powder Springs, Ga. and Shana (James) Boyd of College Park, Ga.; one brother, Willie G. Miller of Georgia; three sisters, Delphine Hunter of Hoekessin, Del, Lonnie Miller Davis of Philadelphia, Pa., and Katherine Miller of Richmond, Va.; and four grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel.
