ARVERNE, N.Y. -- Archie Lee Lewis Sr., 68, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at his home in Arverne, N.Y., surrounded by his loving family.
Archie was born in Wayne County July 24, 1942, to the late Raymond Lee Lewis and Mary Alice Burden Lewis. He was married to the late Margaret Ann Washington Lewis.
He was a graduate of Dillard High School Class of 1960.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at 11 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Rockaway Beach, N.Y. Interment will be at Nassau Knotts Cemetery in Port Washington, N.Y.
Archie is survived by six children; two brothers, Billy Lewis of Goldsboro, N.C., and Ricky Lewis of Far Rockaway, N.Y.; three sisters, Wilhelmenia Richardson (Lebron) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Cynthia Copeland (Leroy) of Alamogordo, N.M., and Torrey Michelle Burden of Greensboro, N.C.; and a host of relatives and friends.
