John Rodney Price, 91, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at Pender Memorial Hospital.
Rodney was born in Wayne County March 14, 1919, to the late Monroe Price and Daisy Hughes Price.
He was married to the late Fannie Mae Andrews Price.
Rodney served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He owned and operated Price Plumbing Service in Goldsboro, and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with Dr. Tom Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Rodney is survived by his son, Jim Price and wife, Shirley, of Wilmington; his grandchildren, John Robert Price, Ashley Price, James Price Jr. and Dina Felix and husband, Hitemus; his great-grandchildren, Nadia, Zachery, Jordan and Corbin Price; his sisters, Ruth and Naomi; his sisters-in-law, Clara and Cathy; and several nieces and nephews.
