CLYDE EDWARD KING

Clyde Edward King, 86, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Clyde was born in Wayne County May 23, 1924, to the late Claude King Sr. and Maggie McMillian King.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Madison Avenue Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Bob Fulkerson and the Rev. O.S. Hawkins officiating. The burial will follow the service at Willow Dale Cemetery.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Norma Surles King; his three daughters, Norma King Blackman and husband, Dr. Jesse Blackman, of Fremont, N.C., Princie King Evans and husband, Doug Evans, of Wilson, N.C., and Janet King Peacock and husband, John Peacock, of Goldsboro, N.C.; his eight grandchildren, Dr. Jay Blackman and wife, Dr. Emily Blackman, of Chattanooga, Tenn., EGie Blackman of Raleigh, N.C., Blythe Evans Elliott and husband, Brian Elliott, of Wilson, N.C., Miranda Evans of Raleigh, N.C., Sam Evans of Wilson, N.C., Mary Clyde Peacock, Hadley Peacock and Mallory Peacock all of Goldsboro; and a great-grandchild, Talley Blackman of Chattanooga, Tenn.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
