DELORES HAITHCOCK

Delores Guttery Haithcock, 81, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord Sept. 3, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
A native of Paris, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Oma Guttery. Mrs. Haithcock was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She never knew a stranger and always had a kind word, smile, and twinkle in her eyes. She loved the Lord and crushed ice in her cup.
Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Clinton B. Haithcock Sr.; daughter, Mary Moran and husband, Pat, of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Malinda Jones of Goldsboro; sons, Clinton Haithcock Jr., Ronald Haithcock, Robert and wife, Sherri Haithcock, and Richard Haithcock all of Goldsboro; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 until 8 p.m., and in the home at other times at 203 Country Acres Drive, Goldsboro.
Flowers are welcome though memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 27985, Raleigh, NC 27611.
