Rayford Cleveland Adams Jr., 2873 Pleasant Hill Road, passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Maxwell officiating. Visitation will follow. Interment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
He was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife. Zaddie Taylor Adams, and sons, Kenneth and James Adams.
He is survived by his daughters, Shelby Croom and husband, Marvin, of Kinston and Amy Moore and husband, Lee, of Kinston; his sons, Robert C. "Bud" Adams and wife, Denice "Dee," of Kinston; his sister, Gloria Harper of Kinston; his nine grandchildren, Randy Croom, Kayland Adams, Meagan Williams, Lauren Williams, T.J. Williams, Madison Moore, Luke Moore, Leanne Moore and Mark Adams; and his six great-grandchildren, Rebecca Croom, Maecy Croom, Reaghan Croom, Aryana Dove, Adrian Adams and Harmony Adams.
