ALBERTSON -- Morris Taylor, 60, 4063 N.C. 111 north, Albertson, passed away Saturday night, Aug. 21, 2010, at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with Pastor Geoffrey Carter officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately after the service, and at the home at other times. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 4 p.m.
Morris was the son of the late Leland and Lucy Alphin Taylor.
He was a self-employed welder and metal fabricator, having owned and operated M&M Industrial Services.
He attended Alum Springs Baptist Church, was a former member of Pleasant Grove Fire Department and had served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye Scott Taylor; three children, Kenneth Eugene Taylor, Jamie Taylor and Erica Dawn Southerland all of the home; two grandchildren, Smith and Vanessa Southerland; four sisters, Delores T. Hardee and Ann T. Mercer both of Kinston, Linda T. Jones of Mount Olive and Marie T. Jones and husband, Henry, of Seven Springs; his parents-in-law, Bobby and Dot Narron of Goldsboro; a sister-in-law, Gail Morgan of Fuquay-Varina; a brother-in-law, David Scott and wife, Pattie, of S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
