MILDRED ANN LELANCHON HAYES

Mildred Ann LeLanchon Hayes, 85, passed away Sunday at Britthaven.
A native of West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John and Hilda Dillar LeLanchon.
Mrs. Hayes was a volunteer at the Salvation Army and the Red Cross, and managed the Thrift shop at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Graveside services will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, retired colonel Homer Hayes; daughter, Rebecca Teal; son, Paul Hayes and wife, Leary, and Brian Hayes and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Kendra Tolley and husband, Tommy, Ann Windburn and husband, Steve, Virginia Russell and husband, Justin, and Morgan and Christopher Teal; four great-grandchildren; and special caregiver, Freda Jones.
Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a great-granddaughter, Faith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Salvation Army, 610 N. William St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
