Franklin Lee Dewitt, 66, 122 Sandy Drive, Goldsboro, departed this life Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Warsaw, with the Rev. Theodore Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens in Warsaw.
He was born in Duplin County to the late Annie Hodges Dewitt and Thomas Dewitt.
He is survived by his wife, Elnora Loftin Dewitt of the home; his children, James (Eula) Conyers, Franklin Keith Dewitt and Joyce Dewitt-Parker (Russell); two brothers, George Dewitt and Leroy Dewitt; three sisters, Retha Mae Lowe, Annie Ruth Carlton and Dora Lee Williams; five grandchildren, Brandon Jerome, Shaun, Brandon De'onte, Quintin and Ian; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James, David, Clifton and Chalmers.
Visitation at Rhodes Funeral Home in Goldsboro Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. Visitation will also be held at Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m., with family present.
The family will receive friends at the residence, where they will assemble for the funeral procession.
