MOUNT OLIVE -- James Benjamin Highsmith, 76, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Saint Mark Free Will Baptist Church, 222 Nelson St. in Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends afterwards.
Mr. Highsmith was born in Wayne County March 5, 1934, to the late Edward and Hattie Newell Highsmith.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
