FREMONT -- Mrs. Lela Forte Coley, 96, 209 W. Branch St., Fremont, N.C., passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, N.C.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Elm Grove Disciples Church in Pikeville, N.C., at 1 p.m., with pastor Helen Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Coley Cemetery.
A wake will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon, one hour prior to the service.
A viewing will be held Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
She is survived by seven children, Shirley Coley of Fremont, N.C., Benjamin Coley Jr. of Fremont, N.C., Ruby Joyner of Washington, D.C., Linda Rorie of Pikeville, N.C., Wanda Pearsall of Goldsboro, N.C., Judy Johnson of Fremont, N.C., and Angela Sherrill of Fremont, N.C.
